Muazu Elazeh is currently the Group Managing Director of LEADERSHIP Newspaper Group. Before this, he was Managing Director for the same media organization, having served variously as Senior Reporter, State Correspondent, Editor of the Sunday title and Editor of LEADERSHIP, the flagship title. During his 11-year career with LEADERSHIP, he has held various roles, including serving as the Katsina State correspondent. Before joining LEADERSHIP, he worked with the Peoples Media Limited and the Nasarawa Publishing Company as publishers of Peoples Daily and the now-rested Nigerian Newsday newspapers.
Muazu is a 2002 graduate of the University of Jos and holds a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from the Bayero University Kano. He is currently a Postgraduate Student at Nasarawa State University Keffi. A member of the Harm Reduction Exchange, Muazu attended the Global Forum on Nicotine in 2023. He is passionate about Tobacco Harm Reduction. Overall, Muazu is an award-winning journalist who clinched the Save The Children International (SCI’s) Health Reporter of the Year, in 2013.
