Dr. Piotr Karniej is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Public Health programme at WSB MERITO University in Wrocław. As an expert for the Polish Ministry of Health on projects funded by European resources, he has extensive experience in managing healthcare entities and primary healthcare. An economist and nurse, Dr. Karniej specializes in public health and medical assistance. He is a member of the Polish Public Health Association, the Polish Scientific AIDS Society, and the Healthcare Management Association. He also serves on the Board of the “Trzy Konce” Foundation for Health and Social Inclusion, focusing on HIV/STI prevention, health education, and sexual health. Additionally, he is a co-author of the project “T/C/HNB/E-C – Database on the Harmfulness of Tobacco Smoke,” implemented by the Polish Public Health Association.
